DriveWire4_HD6309E
DriveWire4 using an HD63C09EP cpu
on a Tandy Color Computer 3.
Below is a text file sent to Discord today, modified again of course.
Notes on how it got done. PTB/2020/05/26
I started with: Nitros9-6309L2-3.3.0-dw-30M.dsk
(I forget which one that was used here).
The files that were needed were obtained from BarryN's .dsk (Discord)
I listed on paper with a pencil, the modules
that were missing but were inside of
NITROS9/6309L2/MODULES, rbf & scf.
I added llide.dr and i0-ide.dd ( my already setup IDE-hdrive)
to have some permanent storage while I collected those
above modules to one location: /i0/DW6309
for ease of finding them while using kwikgen.
At first i missed the module 'dwio' but made
sure that it got installed.
All modules are loaded at boot and not added with LOAD.
I will try and include the "MDIR" list.
First was a "mdir >/rd0/foo" (ramdisk)
Then "list /rd0/foo > /C1"
then finally found the Linux file "minicom.cap"
Yup, here it is, in it's original order:
Also, I shortened the "/dd/cmds/utilpak1".
Module Directory at 21:43:57
REL Boot Krn KrnP2 IOMan Init RBF RBSuper
llcocosdc DD SD0 SD1
llide I0
RamDisk rd0
SCF CerialPak C1
VTIO KeyDrv SndDrv JoyDrv CoWin CoVDG
Term W W1 W2 W3 W4 W5 W6 W7
VRN VI FTDD dwio
rbdw X0 X1 X2 X3
scdwv N N1 N2 N3
scdwp p
PipeMan Piper Pipe
Clock Clock2 SysGo GrfDrv Shell Date
DeIniz Echo Iniz Link Load Save Unlink
Attr Copy Del List MDir Mfree TMode
EOF.
Here is what this coco3 looks like, today. Yup, it's a wire heap.
What you see:
A coco3 with 8mb dat setup, gives 2mb to NitrOS-9, and 6mb for a ramdrive (/RD0).
Buffered game-slot "y-cable" with a non-buffered y-cable attached. This gives 5 slots to use.
First slot is that "Cerial-X PCB" using a 16550 uart with a FTDI-232R-5V cable (to usb2).
Next is an SDC (or a pseudo floppy pcb) that takes SD cards up to 32GB.
Then lastly are three IDE (ATAPI) 16-bit controller pcb's each with a single IDE drive attached.
On the far left is a left-over PC power supply for the IDE drives only,
plus it's fan helps cool the coco3's heatsink.
Out front is that re-wired gamer keyboard so that the coco3 has a new keyboard.
That's all for now, holler if you want more info.
